A tour around the Nordfjord: Ferry Anda-Lote, Hennebygda-Randabygda-Blakset (Panoramaveien), Stryn, Loen, Olden, Innvik, Utvik, Byrkjelo.
Stops you can make along this route are:
Tvinnefossen, the waterfall. A walk of half an hour to a few hours, depending on the route you choose and what you want to see. At the waterfall itself there is a kind of platform from where you can look, but it is more fun to take the path that leads you behind the waterfall. The path to this point, from the parking lot, takes about half an hour, is easily accessible and fairly flat. From here you can of course take the same path back, but there is also a steep but fun forest path to an old sawmill right at the bottom of the waterfall. From there, a path leads back to the road, which takes you back to the starting point. It is best to park at the school in Randabygda.

Further along the same road, the so-called Panoramaveien, you come across Sagedammen. A kind of open-air theater with a small watermill and a circular walk past, among other things, a wild herb garden.

Then follows Stryn with a nice shopping center, or stop for a moment for an ice cream at the gas station next to the roundabout.
Then on to Loen where you can take a proper cable car up for a bite to eat in the high-altitude restaurant. But there's also a Via Ferrata there, a guided climb over steep sections and rope bridges. If you don't want to go quite so crazy, there's always an escape route through Lodalen with a short walk to the glacier Kjenndalsbreen.

A little further along the route we find Olden. And there too you can pay a visit to a glacier, namely Briksdalsbreen. The walk to the glacier takes about three-quarters of an hour and does not have much altitude difference.

Meanwhile, we are almost back when we come across Liatunet between Innvik and Utvik. A farm from the old days, a small farm museum.

After Utvik, we cross the mountains again towards Breim. But not before we have enjoyed the beautiful view over the Nordfjord; viewpoint Skjørbakkane.

After that, we drive over the top and might come across sheep, cows, or goats. So, extra caution is needed.

On top of the Utvikfjell, opposite the ski lifts, there is a parking lot and it is also a beautiful place to hike. There are several benches there.

When we have left all of that behind us, we get a view of the Breim valley.
Then we reach Byrkjelo where you can get a bite to eat at, among other places, the small Thai restaurant at the junction with the E39. Or turn left there and just past the gas station, you'll find Bakar-Jon, who serves chips, burgers, and pizza of quite decent quality.
